Well a frightfully good hello spirit searchers. Although alcohol is not something I've touched on before on my blog this Halloween I just had a spark for whisking up some Halloween and vegan friendly cocktail concoctions. Whether your celebrating small with a night in with the girls or having a big old bash, here's three vegan Halloween themed cocktails even the non-vegans will love!

For some spiriting Halloween inspiration follow on for three witches brews, fit for every Halloween occasion!

Disclaimer: Just to say, be responsible and don't be drinking if your under aged! This is for the golden oldies only! In addition to that, I haven't the foggiest if anyone has come up with these drink combinations or names regardless before. I am not claiming them as my own inventions, they were just a collection of Halloween inspiration from my pumpkin spiced thoughts!

Halloweeni

You will need...

  • 2 shots martini
  • 190ml raspberry lemonade
  • 1 lemon slice

This one is a lovely twist on the classic Martini. So, as I discovered when looking for the bits for this recipe I found that Martini Bianco is not vegan! So for this recipe and with what I could get my hands on the most easily I used this BBC Food martini recipe to make my own but you could purchase your own vegan Martini if that's easier to grab. Add your raspberry lemonade, I chose Asda's Extra Special Raspberry Lemonade, and mix gently. Top off with a lemon slice, just because this is something my nan always used to have in her Martini's! A nice spirit with a little kick and a bloodlike appeal.

Snow White's Bite

You will need...
  • 1 shot Apple Sourz
  • 1 shot vodka
  • 100ml lemonade
  • 75ml lime cordial
  • 1 green apple, sliced
  • Caster sugar
  • Lemon or lime wedge
If I had to pick a fave I think this one would be my favoruite of them all! Something spookily green and with a sweet kick to it! The one has a lovely apple kick but still with a nice bit of spirit to it. The sugar rimmed glass adds a lovely inviting sweet touch and likewise, the little green sugared apple pairs as a fitting decoration or nice little trick or treat, depending if it's sweet or sour! First of all, prepare a small mound of caster sugar on a plate. Rim your glass with a lemon or lime wedge so the sugar has something wet to hold onto and gently roll the rim of your glass in the sugar. Carefully then add your Sourz and vodka, followed by lemonade and lime cordial and finished off with a gentle mix. Lastly cut an apple slice and roll it in sugar. Carefully sever a little slit in the apple and place on the glass rim. And VoilĂ ! Take a sip at your heart's desire if you dare!

Six Feet Under

You will need...
  • 1 shot rum
  • Plenty of ice
  • Hot chocolate powder
  • Dairy free milk of choice (I used oat)
  • Askey's Chocolate Flavoured Dessert Sauce (or chocolate sauce of choice)
Now this one just has Autumn written all over it in my eyes and I think this would be lovely to have on bonfire night with chili con carne gatherings and hot dogs or cosy Autumn evening get togethers. Top tip, unless you're getting ready prepared ice, FREEZE YOUR ICE THE NIGHT BEFORE! Yes I made this mistake and I wished I had more ice to add to the drink before I pictured it but nevertheless, you can learn from your mistakes. In advance, prepare your hot chocolate of choice - I used the Asda Drinking Chocolate. Leave to one side to cool completely. Before you ensemble the drink I'd say it's probably easier to prepare the chocolate dripping on the cup, so take your chocolate sauce and carefully drizzle around the rim of the mug. Less is definitely more here if you don't want a chocolate dipped disaster. Add your completely cooled hot chocolate and dash in a shot of rum. Mix gently then fill with ice to your heart's desire. Now cosy up and enjoy!

And now you've got yourself a cocktail bar fit for all the ghouls at your Halloween Eve hosting! I must say we had a really fun evening consuming the left overs after this blog post. I hope you've had a wonderful Halloween and if your having a late Halloween celebration next weekend why not try some of these for your frightfully good evening? Likewise, if you having a gathering for bonfire night I'd definitely recommend the Six Feet Under for a cosy yet refreshing Autumn tipple for those late night evenings chatting around the fire. I'd love to know below if you try any of the drinks so please do tell me your thoughts in the comments below if you do! Other than that, enjoy the rest of your evening with your fellow ghouls, or if you're party planning enjoy (and pin this to your Pinterest board!) and, I'll see you again when it will be officially... Christmas time!!

My goodness hasn't the year flown. Well lets just say, to start this Christmas off and round off the rest of this not so wonderful year, lets enjoy every bit of it and I sure want to do that this season on the blog. Cheers to that!

Until my the next post,
