3 Days In Brighton

I'VE BEEN TO BRIGHTON!

Okay I went to Brighton a couple of moths ago now (too many to admit - how fast is time going this year my goodness!) but I really wanted to share a little memory post of my time there. Of course I met up with Miss Luci 😊 and we had three days of absolute jam-packed, madness, fun and all sorts!

If you haven't seen, I also did a little vlog of the trip and, most excitingly, I made one of my most favourite main channel videos to date, with Luci! I'll leave Luci's links down below so you can give her a follow if you so wish to too.

...

We actually booked an AirBnB this time as it worked out quite good value for money for us and we absolutely landed on our feet - our host and our accommodation were a dream! We started, crazy to be the themed that continued here, with a bit of crazy golf at Glow Balls down at the Marina because why not! Clearly got a bit to friendly with the sea life there - no alcohol was consumed at this point!

Followed was a mad dash back to the apartment and all plans to have a relaxing get ready went out the window. I can't remember why we were in such a rush but I ended up not having enough socks and having to double-sock it for my boots to fit while Luci hauled our taxi, haha. Looking not too shabby, we then just about made it to our reservation at The Ivy, where Lucy had eagerly told the waitress on our arrival that the special occasion that she'd decided to book it for was my birthday (it wasn't). We were tickled! I don't know how this came about, haha. Very excited, this was my first time at The Ivy and I'm pretty sure, though correct me if I'm wrong, it originates from Brighton? Well anyhow, I had the most amazing vegan curry of my life. Plus the cocktails were a sugarplum dream delight, and I may have ended up finishing Luci's too because it was either too strong or too sweet for her...

We got a little boojie in the bathrooms...

Then we had a very eventful rest of the evening going to see drag queens and had a jolly old dance around every slightly so chilly town!

With sore feet and a very tired self, yet swiftly wiped away by the excitement of being in Brighton, we headed the next day to Hove. Luci wanted to try somewhere called Oeuf and thought it would be right up my alley. I insistently pronounced it 'ooerf' although I don't think my pronunciation of French for egg was quite the one. Nevertheless, my goodness Oeuf was an absolute dream! The inside was like a blogger's dream and the food was a vegan dream (with normal things too!)!

After much deliciousness we headed straight for the pier with a walk down the front but not without first mistakenly realising... Oeuf was right beside Zoe Sugg's old flat. Old time Zoe Sugg days and little young Ellie got a tad excited about this... it really was a bit of a pinch me moment! It's a very beautiful flat. <3

Followed by a glorious but cloudy walk down the sea front - I really do have a special place in my heart for Brighton seaside <3 - we then took a rather luxurious trip on the i360 and spent our afternoon giving ourselves whiplash on as many rides as possible on the pier. We did also potentially come slightly close to slipping out of Mouse Trap which was a little unnerving!

Another evening was then rounded of with dancing and drinks but not to mention we got the most loveliest waitress at the Prince Albert Street Pizza Express and the Porn Star martinis and sloppy vegan pizza were to die for! We had a very tipsy pizza kind of night!

Day three, we rounded off our little trip lookbook with our last ootds - did I mention we filmed another main channel video together too. We did a 'What's In Our Travel Makeup Bag' the evening before. Nevertheless, we started our last day in the lanes with a rather delicious brunch from the Brighton-born Bills. Our waiter was extremely excited about the prospect of me vlogging - he was honestly so jolly, he made our day, haha. The food was DIVINE! Fuelled and ready, we then hit the lanes for the shops, had a whiff around Eden, found too many things to add to our wish lists and made two extremely naughty trips around Zara and Boots.

Our Boots trip was ever so naughty the cashier decided to tell Luci off for being so spendy!

Okay, I initially wrote how excited I was to make my first trip to Zara and how much I loved everything in there however in light of the information that's come out about Zara this morning following the post I'm no longer going to shop there at this time. It's a real shame because separately from the situation the design team are very good and they make some lovely pieces. Haul post is following this one but my goodness it was a naughty haul! Very exciting though! This was also my very first Zara trip and, as we all, I fell ever so in love with everything in there and am now a through and through Zara fan!

Rounding off the trip we just had time to grab some fish and chips on the beach before we headed home, from what was one of the most incredible little fish and chip shops I've ever been too. Little Jack Fuller's Fish & Chip Shop, just moments from the front and they did equally vegan options and ordinary! Sitting on the pebbles eating this in the sunshine was just the perfect way to round off the trip.

Sadly we didn't quite make it to Boho Gelato and Dum Dum was closed! Nevertheless though, it just means I'm going to have to make another trip down there soon! As always it was a dream to get to see Luci; we've even been on more adventures since! Luci is actually back to her blog again herself now after a little break and I've been thoroughly enjoying getting to read her posts again. Here's Luci's links as promised...

And that, followed by a jolly little train ride home, was my trip to Brighton! As noted, all purchases will be revealed in a little Brighton haul in my next post!

Until then,
