October Favourites

This month I have been so into all things autumnal and my excitement for Christmas is growing by the minute! Alongside this I also seem to have accumulated a small abundance of monthly favourites which is lovely really as I don't often get the chance to truly test and enjoy as many make up products when I am constantly busy with college. I think the more 'me time' plan is really paying off and I have really, thoroughly enjoyed this month!

At the beginning of the month I travelled down to London for the weekend and naturally I wanted to go all out autumnal princess for shopping on Oxford street. During some evening Pinterest scrolling I decided I was going to pair this trio on my eyes, being the Kiko shade 35 Long Lasting Stick eye shadow paired with the shade Court in Cannes from the Sleek Vintage Romance palette swept over the top with my Zoeva Graphic Eyes in Nude Reflection on my water line. Together they create a gorgeous, rich pink-y bronze toned eye that I have found myself to be wearing on multiple occasions this month.

My Sleek Vintage Romance Palette has also been offering some lovely deep purple and burgundy smoky looks this month and I would most certainly class it as the perfect, must have autumnal palette.

The Zoeva Graphic Eyes in the shade Nude Reflection is also my favourite eye liner ever. When I'm not wearing an intense smoky eye black eye liner can look a little harsh on my water liner however this champagne-y bronze toned liner gives the perfect amount of definition whilst still looking delicate. The lasting power is also wonderful and it doesn't smudge either!

To complete the look and with most other looks I have been pairing them with one of my most favourite MAC lipsticks, Dark Side. On the lips it gives a rich, dark berry tone that would be the envy of any autumnal princess. Being an amplified creme finish also means it isn't drying on the lips, which is a bonus in this season of depleting temperature.

When it comes to a dark lip or red/ pink tones on the eye I always find it looks ten times better on me when I have a good coverage foundation that hides all my delightful redness. This month I have been reaching for my Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation continuously. Even though a mousse texture it doesn't dry out my skin or cling to dry patches. Paired with my holy grail concealer, the Seventeen Stay Time, it literally almost completely disguises my very prominent redness and acne scaring.

"For the first time in foreverrrrrr" (you will understand if you like Frozen) I have actually painted my nails this month. My chosen look was Barry M's Mediterranean on all nails with a sprinkling of Models Own Disco Inferno on both ring fingers. Before autumn has been and gone I think I'm going to have to paint this look on them again as it is just so stunningly beautiful.

Onto scents now and this month I have been quite anxious for the first time in about a year :( so I really wanted to crack out some rich and relaxing scents. For my outings this month I wanted something special that I could resemble with happy memories however seen as my all time favourite Ghost Deep Night has run out I picked up something slightly similar in terms of musky scents, which was The Body Shop White Musk Libertine Eau De Toilette. A little lighter than the Ghost offering however lovely and fresh yet still with rich musky notes. If your not one for a heavy scent but are wanting to try something a little richer I think this would be a good one to try. It is also very daytime appropriate in terms of its lightness too.

When relaxing at home I have been most excited to delve into my candle collection which I had been saving up for autumn. Now I must admit I haven't tried this Mulberry one yet however cinnamon-y, berry and rich scented candles have been my choice this month. I find scented candles so relaxing and find it so lovely how you can connect the scents with happy memories.

I think my favourite thing this month of all has to be October half term, not because it's time off college necessarily but because I have had the opportunity to make so many lovely memories. Seriously I have been to Nando's twice, seen my loved ones every single day including those I don't get to see all the time like my nan, we went skiing and for the first time I skied from the top of the main slope at the Chill Factore on my own, I've baked, blogged and got to take my dog on a surprise trip to the woods for a walk and best of all I've got to be me and do me things all this holiday. There's been so much happiness this week and I love it!

Wishing you all a Splendid November!
