Spendy Haul in Brighton

Flatly of makeup products and three clothing pieces on bed.

Hello! As noted in my last post here is said spendy haul from Brighton. Every time I'm absolutely amazed how big Brighton Boots is and I swear it's bigger than the London one! Equivalent to it's size, we had a rather large spendy haul in there - our beauty obsession triples when the two of us (me and Luci) are together... it's a dangerous force! I also got quite treaty in Zara and picked up some amazing pieces - as noted in my previous post though I probably won't be shopping in there for a little while but they do have some incredible pieces; lots of inspiration.

Here's the goodies!

White Puff Sleeve Cropped Top - Zara

First up was this ever so gorgeous tulle puffy sleeve cropped top in white. I loved it's very much fairy princess feel to the extravagant puffy sleeve trend and could picture it gorgeously with all manner of outfits, on its own and with pieces layered over. I have since worn this and my mum did say I looked like I almost had a pair of fairy wings but I quite like that.

White Satin Corset - Zara

Following on with the white theme - I've feel like beige and light neutrals have been very much in this year - I then picked up this absolute dream piece. Very on trend at the min, a corset, but I felt like it's minimal style and classic colour makes it a timeless piece that will pair beautifully with and elevate many an outfit. I was really excited to wear this as part of a casual look on our way to our holidays and it's very comfy however I did notice some of the plastic bone pieces seemed to poke through the top, unnoticeably but they really hurt me! Nevertheless, I'm still very much in love with this corset top.

70s Floral Strappy Shift Dress - Zara

Now this was love at first sight <3 As soon as I saw this dress it screamed 70s to me and I fell head over heels for it! I feel like there's been a really lovely undercurrent of 70s style in outfitting over the past year and a bit and certainly in the way of bright combos this spring and summer. I'm absolutely itching to get styling this up and down and have already worn it on a holiday night out and adored it! I did however have to purchase an invisible bra to wear with it though but at least I have one in my collection now!

17 Second Skin Enhancing Foundation - 001

Okay on too Boots now and one objective I had in Boots that I'd had on my list for a little while was to find a good vegan dupe for the Makeup Revolution Pro CC Cream Perfecting Foundation. I found a couple that caught my eye and swatched very nicely on the back of my hand, one being the 17 Second Skin Enhancing Foundation. I knew on swatching that this was going to be a lighter weight version and more like a proper CC cream than foundation but it still gave a lovely finish. Since my Makeup Revolution CC Cream Foundation ran out I've been wearing this one a lot and, although lighter in coverage, it gives a really nice tint to the skin and looks especially lovely on good skin  days too. I've been loving it! The shade 001 is also a very good match for my Caspar-like but my, I'd say, slightly yellowish undertone. It has a good face to neck match!

Collection Lasting Perfection Glow Foundation Dewy Finish - Porcelain 2

In addition to the 17 CC Foundation dupe offering I also became quite twigged by the swatch of this, the Collection Lasting Perfect Glow Foundation in Dewy Finish. This is more of a through and through foundation and it had much heartier coverage but still seemingly lightweight when swatched. The coverage and texture of this seemed to pair much closer to the Revolution CC Cream Foundation and what the Revolution CC Cream was for me was a quite throw-on everyday foundation that I could easily slap on with my hands. For a quick every day foundation this felt like the one. I'm still yet to try this but I'm intrigued to give it a go.

Collection Colour Lash Conditioning Mascara - Clear

With the Collection Lasting Perfection Glow Foundation there was also an offer on - I may have picked up the original Lasting perfection Concealer too - and I got a free Colour Lash Conditioning Mascara. Interesting choice that they decided to also name it 'Colour Lash' as it is colourless! To I'm sure all your amazement I don't think I've ever tried a clear mascara! So this is my first, at the ripe old age of 24! I gave it ago the other month and was excited to try it as it's something I never would have thought to pick up and I also thought it would be the answer to all my under-eye smudging woes in work. Alas, it didn't seem to have the best hold in the world but that was only the one try. I'm going to give this a go again pronto and give it another chance!

NYX Honey Dew Me Up Primer | Base

Following my recent haul of testing out some new primers I clearly still had the bug for it and decided to pick up the NYX Dew Me Up Primer, which had been on my primers-to-try wish list I shared on Instagram and asked which I should try. The gold flecks make it ever so exciting and the anticipated glow factor with this one filled me with oodles of eagerness to try it. So far I have not been disappointed!

NYX Total Control Pro Hue Shifter - Light

Now this one I picked up because I think I have a couple of foundations that aren't quite my shade, one being the Elf Flawless Finish Foundation, which is one of my all time favourites. Now the last lightening drops I used were the Elf ones and although they came in a squeeze-y tube they were more on the thinner, watery side and I really liked that about them. This year I've been all about that glow and moisturising products so the NYX Total Control drops sounded just my cup of tea. I'm yet to try them but I really want to try them with the last of my Urban Decay All Nighter Foundation tester (it's an amazing foundation just ever so slightly too dark for me) and, as noted, my beloved Elf Flawless Filter Foundation.

Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Cream Blush - Bikini Martini

Last but not least was an absolute treaty one and this was the Fenty Cheeks Out Cream Blush in Bikini Martini. I have a little picture wish list on my phone from moments I'm ever perusing the beauty counters and this one was one of my most favourites in the collection of eyed up beauty gems. It just oozes Barbie pink! Not only is this my first cream blusher it's my very first Fenty Beauty product and I have been in an over the moon state of excitement to try it. I recently gave it a whirl in an upcoming video for my main channel and it's suffice to say, I was as blown away as excited I have been to try it! I also have Drama Class on my wish list which I think would be the most gorgeous autumnal violet blush.

...

And that is pretty much everything I treated myself too on holiday when paired together with Miss Luci! Every time we meet up we always say we ned to write each other a list of products to try that we love and we've still yet to do it, haha. I think our bank accounts are welcoming of the break! I hope you enjoyed this wee little haul; I shall back with another post very soon!

Until my next post,

Ellie x
